Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Yesterday was our first time here. The mala mixture was delicious and tasty. The super spicy wasn’t too spicy but still delicious, just add more numbing sauce which is provided add to taste. My non Asian husband love it too. He had the mild spicy soup and I had dry super spicy. Only thing missing was the dry chilli peppers and peanuts that I normally see in Mala in Asia. I don’t remember seeing them as option either. Suggestion: spam cut up when serving & free hot tea?? Overall great food, great experience, good selection and good cook & staff!"
"Best Fried Pork in Scoop in Seattle area! Spicy hot pot is great. Do not recommend Spicy Mix."
"You can customize your bowl by choosing all your own ingredients—from meats to vegetables and noodles—so you get exactly what you want in your mala tang. Ingredients are fresh; everything soaks up the soup beautifully."
"My absolute favorite malatang spot in SGA. It’s the real deal. They have a huge selection to choose from, all super fresh, and even though they only offer one soup base, they don’t need more. It’s exactly how it should be: rich, spicy, and full of that true malatang flavor. They also offer dry pot if you’re in the mood for something less brothy, and it’s just as solid. But the star of the show? The guo bao rou. It is to die for — crispy, glossy, sweet, tangy, and honestly the best version I’ve ever had. If you want authentic malatang and unforgettable guo bao rou, this is the place. Perfect every time."
"We went here to try a mala restaurant in the area. We had certain expectations as we had our first one when we were in Singapore. This one is on the pricy side, although they let you have a free bottled drink, which was nice. Self serve, pay per weight. We spent about $25 for 2 people. The soup was great, just as we like the spiciness to be. But we were still hungry after spending about $25."
"$15/lb. Broth is really good and Szechuan chili oil is absolutely fire. I had the wet option and enjoyed it. Comes out quick"
"We've come here three weekends in a row because it's THAT GOOD! The broth is so rich and they have a good selection of veggies, noodles, fish balls, mushrooms etc. Seems they typically have one lamb and one beef choice for meat. I'd love if they added a choice for glass/bean thread noodles. There is only one broth option, although you can choose your spice level, but that's all you need because they have the best broth of any malatang place we have tried. They've been super busy lately after an IG reel from a big influencer, but they manage the flow of people pretty well. Just go on the earlier side for lunch or dinner, if you don't want to wait."
"This restaurant is absolutely amazing! The dishes are authentically spicy and flavorful, leaving a lasting impression with every bite. The self-selected spicy malatang has a rich and authentic taste, with fresh and abundant ingredients. The Northeastern crispy pork belly is fragrant, crispy, and delicious, with tender and juicy meat. The service is also very attentive, and the environment is clean and comfortable. Highly recommended to all spicy food lovers!"
